Microsoft Office 97/2000 - Introductory Course (8 sessions)

This class is an introduction to each part of the Micrososft Office Professional software package. Covering MS Word (word-processing); MS Excel (spreadsheets); MS PowerPoint (presentation designer) and MS Access (databases). This course is aimed at beginners, so as to provide an insight into each program and get the user started in using them and should provide a useful stepping stone to doing the more advanced course later. Training manual, illustrations and examples included. Patient teacher!!

Completion of the "Computers for Absolute Beginners" or similar knowledge required to gain maximum benefit from this course.

Training Plan

1 Word - Introduction and formatting, keyboard, file, save, open, View Menu
2 Word - undo, redo, cut, copy, paste, format painter, spelling & grammar
3 Word - Graphics - Drawing Tools, ClipArt, WordArt, AutoShapes, Resizing
4 Excel - Introduction principles, formulas, layout, formatting
5 Excel - Charts, Sorting and advanced formating

PowerPoint - Introduction - slides design, layout, colour schemes,
PowerPoint - add, change and manipulate objects and background
Access - Introduction - based on using templates
Access - more advanced - building basic own database

It is intended to cover most of the above topics. as time allows.
