The Centre is run by Sandy Hutchison who has been a professional gardener for the past 30 years. His experience is in both trade and retail, and in commercial and private landscaping.

For the past 16 years he has been the Gardener to the Landale family at Dalswinton House.

In the future the plants offered for sale in the Plants Centre, will be grown from our own stock, thus ensuring the plants will be hardy in the area.

We will be growing a wide range of trees, shrubs, heathers, conifers, perennials, roses, grasses, ferns, rhododendrons, azaleas, as well as summer bedding plants for ground planting and for tubs and pots.

We offer the service of filling your hanging baskets, pots, tubs etc. or you can purchase containers already filled.

Wallflower will be grown in the ground as will be the polyanthus, producing bigger and better plants.

As Sandy has been growing fuchsias over the past few years we have built up a good selection of varieties, including triphylla types. These plants have been shown from Hexham to Dunfermline over the years often winning "Best in Show".

During the year we will have large specimen plants for hire.
